Thanks to a grant from the Mary Bridget Chase Fund through the Maine Community Foundation, we are able to offer our matches more arts-related activities and outings this summer and we couldn’t be more grateful. Our Bigs and Littles had a great time this past Saturday at our “Paint Day” event led by volunteer Amy from General Dynamics Bath Iron Works! In addition to reducing stress, art can also empower youth to manage unhealthy emotions, build resiliency and reinforce self-esteem. Thank you to all who helped make this happen and to those who came and painted with us!
